General

Absolutely Yes! All the workouts in the Pregnancy Programme are safe to start from mid-way through your pregnancy., this is why we have the ‘monthly subscription’ option for the Pregnancy Programme because this is very common. Start gently, take the easier options and listen to your body. Build it up as you start to feel fitter and stronger.

We would always recommend waiting 6 weeks before starting phase 1 as this is the recommended guidelines from ACOG. Your body has gone through a huge change both physically and mentally and therefore 6 weeks is the minimum amount of time we would recommend. However you can start pelvic floor exercises and Diaphragmatic breathing, which will start to rehab your core. Also walking is a great form of exercise to start with and gradually build up your distance.

Phase 1 has been created with you in mind, with a full focus on postnatal rehab. If you have had / have any of the above, we would always recommend seeing a Women’s Health Physio before starting an exercise programme.

The Phases correspond between our online programmes and in-studio classes, so if you’re on the Phase 1 online programme, we’d suggest you attend the Phase 1 classes (which are one hour and include a lot of additional exercises). Our Phase 3 (Fit Mums) in-studio classes use more equipment (including kettlebells / barbells etc) whilst the online programme sticks to gliders which are much easier to store in your home!

The in-studio classes are a great accompaniment to the online programmes (and vice versa) so if you can do both, that is fantastic.

Programmes

Each phase is slightly different, but we have given an indication of frequency on the Programme Pages.

In order to get the most out of the programmes, we would suggest a minimum of 3 times a week for all programmes. Ideally you want to be ‘moving’ in some format every day, whether that means a 10 minute walk around the block, or a stretch before bed (on those days when energy levels are low). The key thing during this time in your life is that you listen to your body. If you’re feeling great and full of energy, there’s no reason why you couldn’t do a video 5+ times each week.

If energy levels are low, we would suggest sticking to the calmer options such as yoga / Pilates for the Pregnancy Programme, or even taking this opportunity to listen to the Relaxation video.

We would always suggest starting with Phase 1, even if you had a relatively straightforward birth. The exercises in this Phase will benefit everyone and nailing the fundamentals will give you the best chance of getting back to full fitness. However, if you have confidence in your core connection, breathing and posture, then starting with Phase 2 is an option. We would always recommend seeing a Women’s Health Physio (either NHS or Private) before starting a postnatal exercise programme, and they will be able to let you know if you’re ready for Phase 2. If you have had a c-section / significant tears / suffering from prolapse, we would always recommend starting with Phase 1.

There's no need to create a new account, all you need to do is click here and follow the checkout process for Phase 2 as with Phase 1. Once you have purchased Phase 2, Phase 1 will still be available to view on your account. We do offer a discount on your second programme, so keep an eye out for an e-mail containing a discount code - or contact us at hello@mum-hood.com if you can't find it!

Absolutely - we ship worldwide and would love to build an International Community of Mumhooders. The only additional fee is shipping (Europe - £10.20, Rest of World - £13) which is added to your basket upon choosing your shipping destination.

Our programmes are designed with Mum in mind, and we don’t integrate the baby in with the exercises. We recommend doing the videos during nap times, or getting baby involved in your workout, by having them on a mat next to you.

Our in-studio classes at Frame are all designed so that you can bring your baby with you. Bring toys and blankets so you can have them on the floor next to you, or you can keep them in the buggy if this works better for you. We fully appreciate that you may have to feed / soothe during the class and remember that we’re all in the same boat, so not to worry about this!

If you are unable to access your programme, make sure you are logged in and go to your account page.

On your account page make sure it says 'Watch Now' next to your programme, this button will lead you to your programme. If it displays 'Purchase Now' please email hello@mum-hood.com who will be able to assist you. Please be aware programmes are linked to the particular email address you used to purchase the programme, so always worth checking you're logged into the right account.

We run two monthly Webinars with our Master Trainers every month, one for Pregnancy and one for Postnatal. This gives you an opportunity to ask questions regarding the programme or just to get advice on specific queries you might have. Webinars will be recorded and sent to everyone on the programmes in case you are unable to make the time work. We will aim to give 4 weeks prior notice of when the webinars will be.

All the programmes, except the Pregnancy monthly option, are one-off payments and will automatically finish after the time period. If you are on the monthly subscription for the Pregnancy Programme, you will be able to cancel your subscription through your account page on the website.

We currently do not support the downloading of our programmes as they are streamed through our Video content provider.

You are more than welcome to purchase any of our programmes under your account and share with the intended recipient. Please ensure you input your email to ensure we don't ruin the surprise!
